'Big Wave Guardians' Headlines the Oceanside International Film Festival

The film Big Wave Guardians: First Responders of Sea, written by CSM President Jim Kempton, is included in this year’s Oceanside International Film Festival (OIFF). It will be the feature film showing Friday, February 24 at about 7:40pm at the Sunshine Brooks Theater, 217 N. Coast Hwy. in downtown Oceanside (a short film precedes it). With a theater seating of 200, this screening is expected to sell out. Click Here to get your tickets online.

Big wave guardians in Hawaii risk their lives to save others in the world’s most dangerous waves while inventing innovative water safety techniques. This film shares dramatic stories of Hawaii’s big wave guardians, some of the world’s best athletes, first responders and surfers, who risk their lives in the world’s most dangerous waves while inventing innovative water safety techniques previously unimagined.

Opening at 6pm next door to the theater, CSM will be hosting a reception with the Director, Producer, Screenwriter, and several hero lifeguards. Admission is free. You do not need to attend the film screening to come to the reception.
